The Porto Social Summit was the highlight of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with which they wanted to set the European agenda for the next decade, ensuring that we face challenges of the present and the future without leaving anyone behind.
The Social Summit took place at Alfândega do Porto, in Portugal, and was organized around two events. On 7 May, centred on a High Level Conference at the Customs Congress Centre, and on 8 May, an informal meeting of Heads of State and Government was held, chaired by the President of the European Council.
